WE ARE HIRING

 

CRMWA is accepting applications for a Maintenance Tech I position within its Dam and Aqueduct System crew at its Headquarters facility located in Sanford.  Starting hourly rate for this position is $22.47.  A comprehensive benefits package includes accrued vacation and sick leave, 100% coverage for employee health and dental with a $15,000 life insurance policy.  CRMWA offers a 401(a) plan for employees with an employee contribution of 7% and organization contribution of 14%.  A 4-day, 10-hours per day work week and a company vehicle. QUALIFICATIONS​

  • Any combination of education or experience that would likely provide the necessary knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent

  • Possession of a valid Texas driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Authority's Vehicle Insurance Policy

RESPONSIBILITIES (Please review job description for the essential job functions)

  • ​Inspects, maintains repairs and operates dam, aqueducts, valves, dam, spillway, outlet tower, and other aqueduct and reservoir facilities

  • Performs semi-skilled work in a variety of trades in the installation, construction, repair, maintenance, and inspection of the Authority's buildings and facilities

  • Installs, maintains, and repairs fences, gates, culverts, drains and small size piping, and erosion control installations, burns brush and weeds; removes garbage, rubbish, or other material that may pose a fire or water pollution hazard

  • Performs in a safe manner and established policies, procedures and safety measures are followed

  • Operates a variety of construction equipment such as a backhoe, fork lift, skid steer, dozers, etc

  • Performs work at heights and in enclosed structures when required

  • Operates assigned vehicles skillfully and safely; inspects and fuels vehicles; reports the need for repairs and service; observes safe driving practices
